17 Mar 08 Emergency Surgery

Posted by: inigobautista | March 25, 2008 |

Storypregnant_2 It’s a tragic day today. Mom started experiencing severe abdominal pains early in the morning. Dada thought it was appendicitis, because the signs and symptoms are all indicative of such. The pain started at 230am and didn’t disappear until morning so my dada decided to bring mom to the hospital.

In the ER, mom was diagnosed by the doctors as acute appendicitis, requiring emergency surgery. Mom was immediately brought to the operating room. When they opened her, they found the real cause of the pain - it was a twisted ovarian cyst. The surgeon removed it.

In the evening, mom recovered from anaesthesia. I’m glad she is now pain-free. Now, I have her abdomen to myself.

Thanks mom for being strong for me. Don’t worry about me. I’m perfectly safe here.

And thanks God for helping my mom, and for keeping me safe from the surgery.
